Carolyn's Pet Care provides a variety of service options to accommodate your pet's individual needs. All pets are welcome so if you don't see the service you are looking for, please ask and we'll do our best to make it happen. Our ultimate goal is to make sure your pets are lovingly taken care of and that you have peace of mind.
Carolyn's Pet Care currently services Rolling Hills, Rolling Hills Estates, Palos Verdes Estates, and portions of Rancho Palos Verdes, San Pedro, and Torrance. We apologize for any inconvenience; however, we may be able to offer some assistance with referrals.
Get Acquainted Meeting: 30-40 minutes (or until you and your pets feel comfortable)
This meeting is essential in starting a good relationship. It is important that not only your pets feel comfortable with us but that you do as well. Carolyn's Pet Care takes this very seriously. Because you are entrusting your loved ones to our care, we want to provide an opportunity for you to see your pets interact with us and to answer any questions you may have about our services. This meeting is complimentary and there is no obligation.
Just in case. Life throws us curves and sometimes we are called away in the middle of the night or day without warning. Sometimes, the person you have scheduled to take care of your animals has an emergency of their own and might need some help. Whichever the case, the needs of your pets are top priority and a back-up sitter comes in handy. Even if you may not need pet care at this particular time, please schedule the "get acquainted" meeting anyway. There is no obligation. It will simply mean that the proper paperwork (vet release, contact info, pet needs, etc.) will be completed and ready for future use. We will keep it on record for you or leave it with you to have at hand when needed. This allows specifics to be discussed by telephone and service to begin without delay.
Pet Visits: $20/20-30 minutes
Carolyn's Pet Care is currently unable to accommodate evening visits (occasional exceptions)
Dogs, cats, birds, farm animals, reptiles, and fish are all welcome for pet sitting visits. Depending on your needs, visits include feeding (monitored if necessary), walking, playing, petting, brushing, medicating (including Subcutaneous IV Fluids), litter box cleaning, and poop patrol. We will also fill bird feeders, pick up the newspaper/mail, water the plants/lawn, curb the trash cans, rotate the lights, and shift your vehicles. We are here to make your day a bit simpler.
Socials/Trail Hikes: $30 (dogs are accessed, then trained, prior to placement in socials)
Backyard settings provide a safe, secure and supervised setting for dogs to socialize with one another and to learn proper play etiquette. They are able to fully expend their energy yet at the same time learn to respect one another and follow basic commands such as recall, sit and stay. Trail hikes are offered to dogs that are in good condition and can handle a full hour of hiking in various weather conditions. Most hikes are done early in the morning to avoid the heat. Trail hikes offer dogs the opportunity to explore and enjoy what they don't get in enclosed backyards. Here they learn to respect horses they may encounter on the trail, and learn proper manners when encountering other dogs and humans. They are taught not to bark or lunge and to sit or walk by quietly when others pass by. In socials and on the trails, confidence is built, friends are made and energy is spent. Dogs are brought home tired, happy and content.
